Meet Eric Rubio

I have been a flintknapper for 10 years. I specialize in making paleo- and archaic-lanceolate blades and utility stone tools. 10 years ago I embarked on my journey as a flintknapper; through the process of elimination, I could not work at the time as I had injured my back on a horse accident and this was the only thing I could do sitting down. I find flintknapping therapeutic. One has to feel his way through the stone, other than think through the process of lenticular reduction. My mentors in flintknapping are D.C. Waldorf and Greg Nunn. Without their knowledge I would not have learned as much as I did.

All my lithics are made from abo tools, such as hammer stone, moose, elk and mule deer antler. I hope you enjoy them. Please rate or like my items as a show of appreciation.
